Winter Storm to Bring Snow Across Northern Ontario Starting Sunday

A developing low-pressure system is set to move across northern Ontario on Monday, bringing widespread snowfall to the region.
Snow is expected to begin in northwestern Ontario by Sunday afternoon before spreading into northeastern areas by Monday morning. Forecast models indicate that much of northern and parts of central Ontario could see snowfall accumulations ranging from 5 to 10 cm.
Additionally, a lake-enhanced band of snow is expected along the northern and eastern shores of Lake Superior, where snowfall totals could reach between 10 and 15 cm.
However, there remains significant uncertainty regarding the storm's exact track.
Forecasters warn that rain may mix with snow in areas near the Great Lakes and central Ontario later in the day, potentially reducing overall snowfall amounts. Given these variables, confidence in exact snowfall totals and affected regions remains low at this time.
