Why Do We Remember?

Every year when the month of November gets closer we start to see poppies at stores everywhere, they only cost whatever you wish to give.

Remembrance Day is more than a day off work, it's a time to remember those who gave the ultimate sacrifice so have the right to get a day off work.

We also have the right to not wear a poppy if we choose not to, or we can choose not to stand at the war memorial in the November cold. But you should...

Canada has lost a lot of brave men and women to war.

Number of Casualties in Major Conflicts:

  • WWI 67,000

  • WWII 42,000

  • Korean War 516

  • Afghanistan 158

These are not all the conflicts that Canada has been involved in, just a few. These numbers alone total over 100,000 Canadians.

Choose to remember them, remember that they gave their lives so we can enjoy the freedoms we have today.

Lest We Forget
