Weather bomb continues to impact Newfoundland and Labrador
Today is the perfect day to stay inside in Newfoundland and Labrador as a weather bomb slams most of the province with snow, rain, strong winds, and pounding waves.
Avalon Peninsula:
Heavy rainfall is expected, with totals ranging from 30 to 50 mm today.
Southern, Eastern, and Northeastern Newfoundland:
Wind gusts between 90 and 120 km/h are causing widespread damage and power outages.
Western Newfoundland: Significant snowfall is anticipated.
Green Bay - White Bay & Northern Peninsula East: 20 to 30 cm of snow is expected.
Other Areas: Western Newfoundland will see 5 to 15 cm of snow from this morning through the evening.
Channel-Port aux Basques, Burgeo, and Ramea: Snowfall of 10 to 15 cm is expected, accompanied by wind gusts of 100 to 110 km/h.
Southeastern Labrador (L'Anse-au-Clair to Cartwright):
Up to 25 cm of snow is forecast inland and over higher terrain, with lesser amounts along the coast. Wind gusts of 80 to 100 km/h are likely along the Labrador Straits.
Northeastern and Eastern Newfoundland:
Large waves and rough surf are contributing to higher-than-normal water levels. Wave heights of 7 to 9 metres are expected this morning and again on Monday morning.

All ferry services across the province are cancelled today, with delays possibly extending into tomorrow.
Numerous flight delays and cancellations are being reported at provincial airports.
