Update on Monday's Derecho
After Monday's derecho moved through northern Illinois and northwest Indiana there was severe damage and several people were injured.
Six people were injured in Illinois. Five were injured in Forreston and one person was injured in Peru.
The Storm Prediction Center received over 700 reports of severe wind gusts or wind damage from the Nebraska/Iowa border, across Iowa, northern Illinois and northern Indiana. Over 150 of the wind reports are from all of northern Illinois and northwest Indiana.
In total, seven tornadoes were confirmed.
The tornadoes include an EF1 tornado in Rogers Park, Illinois (a north-side neighbourhood of Chicago), that moved out over Lake Michigan making it a waterspout.
