Two large earthquakes in the Pacific Ocean


There were two large earthquakes in the Pacific Ocean on Saturday.


The first was a 6.0 magnitude that was centred 1262.7 km south of Geeveston, Australia and was at a depth of 10 kilometres.


It occurred at 1:21 am local time.


At 11:35 am local time there was a 6.0 magnitude earthquake 340.5 km west-northwest of Pangai, Tonga.


That earthquake was at a depth of 378 kilometres.
