Tropical development possible over southwestern Caribbean Sea
There is an area of showers and thunderstorms over the southwestern Caribbean Sea.
While this system presently remains disorganized, there is a potential for some development.
The system could develop gradually as it drifts northwestward near the coasts of Nicaragua and Honduras, and it could become a tropical depression late this week.
The National Hurricane Center predicts that this low has a 40 percent chance of developing through the next five days.
