Strong winds tore across the Maritime provinces on Easter Sunday, resulting in a number of power outages. Winds in some areas gusted to nearly 110 km/h.
In Nova Scotia, there are 2,028 customers without power. 285 are in the dark on Prince Edward Island, and the most outages by far are in New Brunswick, where 32,165 customers are without power at this hour.
And the severe weather isn't over yet. There are wind warnings in effect for Prince Edward Island and northern sections of Nova Scotia. There is a winter storm warning in effect for Inverness County - Mabou and north; in this area, 20 cm of snow and wind gusts up to 90 km/h are expected.
