Thousands without power in Atlantic Canada


As Atlantic Canada contends with wind chills from minus 30 to minus 50, there are thousands of customers in all four Atlantic provinces experiencing power outages due to severe weather.


In Newfoundland, there are 3,004 customers experiencing outages.


Nova Scotia Power is reporting 8,875 customers are without power. The utility has dispatched over 300 people to the field to restore power.


400 customers are without power on Prince Edward Island.


New Brunswick has the most outages with 16,956 customers off the grid.
