Stormy weather to persist across Ontario on Thursday

Stormy weather will continue across portions of Ontario on Thursday.
Northern portions of northeastern Ontario will see heavy snow continue with additional snowfall amounts of 15 to 30 cm expected, leading to total snowfall amounts to near 40 cm for some areas.
Areas roughly from St. Joseph Island to Earlton will see rain, freezing rain and ice pellets today before snow moves into the region from west to east. Rain amounts 15 to 25 mm are possible, ice accretion amounts 2 to 4 mm are possible and snowfall amounts up to 5 cm are possible.
Southern portions of northeastern Ontario and central Ontario will see heavy rain with up to 25 mm possible. Rain may briefly change to freezing rain before changing to snow late in the morning or afternoon.
