Stormy weather persists across Ontario

Northeastern and southern Ontario will continue to see unsettled weather today.

Northeastern Ontario

10 to 20 mm of rain is expected for portions of central and eastern Ontario. Portions of northeastern Ontario northeast of Lake Superior will see snow or ice pellets change to freezing rain or freezing drizzle early today.

Portions of northwestern and northeastern Ontario as well as the north shore of Lake Superior will see an additional 5 to 10 cm of snow.

Southwesterly winds gusting up to 70 km/h are expected across central and eastern Ontario.

Southern Ontario

It will continue to rain over most of southern Ontario. Additional amounts of 10 to 20 mm are expected. If thunderstorms develop, rainfall amounts will be enhanced. Areas to the north of Lake Huron and Georgian Bay will see wind gusts to near 70 km/h.
