Stormy weather impacting southern Ontario today followed by Quebec and Atlantic Canada

Ontario
A powerful low-pressure system will bring another winter storm to southern Ontario from this morning to Sunday evening. Periods of snow, at times mixed with freezing drizzle, will begin this morning bringing general snowfall amounts up to 10 cm by late this evening. Snow may become lighter tonight with a risk of freezing drizzle over southern sections of southern Ontario.
On Sunday, conditions will rapidly deteriorate as a more significant area of snow and blowing snow arrives. An additional 10 to 20 cm is likely. Freezing rain or ice pellets may mix in with snow at times on Sunday, especially for areas near Lake Erie, which will impact total snowfall accumulations.
25 to 40 centimetres are expected from early in the day on Sunday until Monday morning in the National Capital Region.
Travel will be hazardous and is not recommended.
Quebec
Another winter storm is expected over the province of Quebec. Snowfall accumulations of 25 to 40 centimetres are expected from early in the day on Sunday until Monday morning in the St. Lawrence Valley.
Quebec City, Charlevoix, Saguenay and the Lower St. Lawrence will see 20 to 35 centimetres and strong winds from Sunday evening to Monday evening.
Significant snowfall amounts ranging from 25 to 50 centimetres are expected for the Gaspé Peninsula and the North Shore.
Maritimes
New Brunswick will see heavy snow Sunday night in northern areas.
Precipitation will begin as snow Sunday afternoon over southwestern parts of New Brunswick and then spread across the province. The snow will transition to ice pellets and possibly freezing rain Sunday evening over southern areas of the province.
Some areas of central and northern New Brunswick could see snowfall totals in excess of 35 cm with this storm, while lesser amounts of 10 to 15 cm for southern areas with mixed precipitation types.
Prince Edward Island will see snow on Sunday evening. Snow will change to ice pellets and freezing rain overnight Sunday. A changeover to rain showers or drizzle is expected early Monday morning.
Nova Scotia will see snow, ice pellets, freezing rain and strong winds from Sunday afternoon to Monday morning.
Precipitation will begin as snow mid-day Sunday over southwestern parts of Nova Scotia and spread across the province by Sunday evening. The snow will transition to ice pellets and freezing rain later Sunday evening with a changeover to rain expected overnight Sunday or early Monday morning.
