Storm to bring snow, freezing rain, and rain to portions of northeastern Ontario

On Wednesday, a winter storm is expected to begin across portions of northeastern Ontario.
Snow will start in the morning and will continue through the day and Thursday with the heaviest snow expected from Wednesday evening to Thursday morning. Snowfall amounts of up to 20 cm are possible.
An area of freezing rain or ice pellets producing ice build-up of 1 to 3 mm is possible south of the heaviest snow.
Then on Thursday, portions of northeastern Ontario will continue to see snow and rain. For areas such as Sudbury and Sault Ste. Marie, rain will begin in the early morning. Rainfall amounts of 15 to 25 mm are possible. Rain may briefly change to freezing rain before changing to snow in the late morning or afternoon.
