Storm impacting Ontario, Quebec, and New Brunswick

Southern Ontario

Across Southern Ontario rainfall amounts of 15 to 25 mm are expected today along with strong winds. Tonight expect reduced visibility in snow and local blowing snow.


National Capital Region:

Light freezing rain is expected early this morning with ice accretion of up to 1 or 2 millimetres. Freezing rain will change to rain this morning.


Northern Ontario

Snowfall amounts of 25 to 35 cm are expected through Thursday morning. For areas near the Ontario - Quebec border, continuing into Thursday evening. Winds gusting to 50 km/h will result in areas of blowing snow giving reduced visibility.


Quebec

Freezing rain giving nearly 5 millimetres of ice accretion is expected beginning this evening until Thursday morning. Freezing rain will change to rain across southwestern Quebec.

15 to 25 cm of snow is expected across central areas of Quebec.


For the Lower North Shore, rainfall amounts of 40 to 70 millimetres are expected beginning late in the day on Thursday until Friday evening.


New Brunswick

Freezing rain is expected across Northern areas with precipitation starting as snow this afternoon then changing to freezing rain late this evening, and then to rain early Thursday morning.


Rain at times heavy and mild temperatures are expected across central and southern New Brunswick with 20 to 40 mm of rain expected by Thursday evening.
