An area of low pressure is expected to develop today across western Alberta.

The low will deliver heavy snow across the Foothills and Mountain Parks. Snowfall amounts of 10 to 20 cm are expected today and tonight. Up to 25 cm is possible over high terrain such as Jasper National Park and Banff National Park.

Strong winds are expected over southern Alberta, with gusts of up to 100 km/h possible this afternoon and evening. The winds will diminish before Monday morning.
