Power outage after thunderstorms on the Avalon
It turned stormy around midnight last night as thunderstorms began to roll across the Avalon Peninsula.
The storms may have been short-lived but many customers on the northeast Avalon including St. John's spent about an hour in the dark as thunderstorms knocked out power.
St. John's International Airport recorded 4.6 mm of rain on Saturday.
Thunderstorms are possible once again this morning. Should any thunderstorms develop they will be non-severe in nature.
