Possible tropical threat for the Gulf of Mexico

Another tropical threat could be looming for the Caribbean Sea and the southeastern Gulf of Mexico.

Next week, an area of low pressure could form over the area and from there the low could gradually become a tropical cyclone.

The low could become a tropical depression by the middle of next week.

The Climate Prediction Center does indicate a moderate to high chance that a tropical cyclone could form in that area next week.
