No tsunami threat after 7.1 magnitude earthquake in Bali Sea


A 7.1 magnitude earthquake occurred in the Bali Sea on Tuesday.


The earthquake occurred at a depth of 515 km at 3:55 a.m. local time and was centred 182.9 km north-northeast of Gili Air, Indonesia.


There were no immediate reports of damage. When the earthquake occurred, residents and tourists fled buildings and into the streets.


The NWS Pacific Tsunami Warning Center said there was no tsunami threat.
