A ridge of high pressure over Atlantic Canada is breaking down as a low moves in.
This system will bring rain, freezing rain, ice pellets, and snow to the area over the next couple of days.
New Brunswick
An extended period of freezing rain is expected over most of the province except for extreme southern and eastern sections where rain is expected. The precipitation will move in early on Sunday morning and will persist throughout the day.
Prince Edward Island
Rain is expected for Prince Edward Island beginning on Sunday afternoon and will end on Sunday night.
Nova Scotia
Rain is expected for Nova Scotia moving in a south to north fashion beginning on Sunday morning reaching Cape Breton Island late on Sunday afternoon.
Newfoundland
On Sunday night, the rain will move into southern Newfoundland. Rain is expected for most of the Island. Southern sections and the Avalon Peninsula will see rain. Freezing rain will change to rain in central areas and snow is likely for much of the west coast.
