The new year begins with the Moon sitting below Venus and to the upper left of Saturn during the first couple of days of the month.

On January 10, the Moon will sit near Jupiter.

A rare event occurs on the 13 when the Moon eclipses Mars early in the evening. Mars will reappear about an hour later.

Moon Phases:

  • First Quarter January 6

  • Full Moon January 13

  • Last Quarter January 21

  • New Moon January 29
