Flooding rain expected for portions of Ontario beginning tonight

Areas from Chapleau eastwards to Quebec border, including Timmins will see heavy rainfall amounts from Monday night to Wednesday.

Rainfall amounts of 20 to 40 amounts are expected in some areas, particularly in western Quebec, reaching 60 mm.

Heavy rain is also expected east and northeast of Georgian Bay. 20 to 30 mm of rain is likely.

In both of the areas listed above, there is the potential for localized flooding and ponding of water on roads.
