Evacuation orders expanded in BC due to wildfires

The BC Wildfire Service says the Teit Creek wildfire merged into the Shetland Creek wildfire on Thursday.

This comes as crews also respond to the Calcite Creek wildfire located in the Pasayten Valley area south of Princeton and east of BC Highway 3.

Evacuation orders have been issued by Thompson-Nicola Regional District and Cook's Ferry Indian Band.

There are currently 253 wildfires burning across British Columbia.
