Earthquake near BC/Washington border

An earthquake has occurred in Washington state that was felt in British Columbia.

The 4.5 magnitude earthquake was located 43 kilometres east of Sidney, British Columbia and 10 kilometres east of Orcas, Washington.

It occurred at 5:32 a.m. local time and was at a depth of 16.3 kilometres.

It was lightly felt in around Victoria and Vancouver. There are no reports of damage at this time.
