Cyclone Dana forces evacuation of over 1 million people


Ahead of Cyclone Dana striking portions of India, authorities evacuated nearly 1.5 million people in the eastern states of Odisha and West Bengal.


In preparation for the storm, there were dozens of flights delayed and trains cancelled.


So far 15 people have been confirmed dead and seven people are missing.


288 rescue teams from the National Disaster Response Force have been deployed to Odisha.


Dana is located about 294 km south-southwest of Kolkata, India.
