Astronomy for August includes Perseids Meteor Shower

Today, Jupiter, Mars, and the Moon come together to form a triangle. From today to August 13, Mars and Jupiter will move closer to each other.

On August 11 and 12, the Perseids Meteor Shower peaks. The best chance to see the event will be between midnight and dawn.

On August 27, the Moon will be to the upper left of Jupiter before dawn.
