A white Christmas for parts of the Maritimes as heavy snow moves in


It will be a white Christmas for parts of Nova Scotia and New Brunswick.


Snow is expected to start this morning. For western Mainland Nova Scotia, and Cumberland County - Minas Shore, 15 to 25 cm of snow is expected. Snowfall totals of 5 to 15 cm are expected across central and northern Nova Scotia. The snow will end tonight.


Snowfall with total amounts of 15 to 25 cm, except up to 40 cm over areas of higher terrain is forcasted for Saint John and County, Sussex - Kennebecasis Valley and Kings County, and Fundy National Park. The snow will end tonight. Charlotte County in New Brunswick will see 15 to 20 cm of snow by this afternoon.


Other areas of southern New Brunswick will get 10 to 15 cm.
