A developing area of low pressure over the Great Lakes will bring significant amounts of snow to parts of northeastern and central Ontario today.

Snow is expected to begin near Lake Superior early this morning and move east toward the Quebec border by evening. Snowfall amounts of 15 to 25 cm are possible. The snow will be accompanied by gusty winds.

The snow and gusty winds will lead to reduced visibility and possible road closures.

Areas of southern Ontario near Lake Huron and Georgian Bay will see wind gusts of 70 to 80 km/h this afternoon through evening. The strongest winds will be off Lake Huron and

Georgian Bay.
