12 killed and 23 missing in deadly Spain wildfire
A wildfire in southern Spain has killed 12 people and 23 people are missing officials stated on Friday. The blaze, which has burned 3,200 hectares is one of the largest fires on record in the country. Hundreds of firefighters were deployed to fight the fires. The blaze is being tacked from the ground and air with both helicopters and fixed wing aircraft involved. A series of heatwaves in Europe has left the ground dry. Spain is currently seeing a period of very warm weather.

Typhoon Bavi heading toward mainland China
Typhoon Bavi is currently in the East China Sea north of Taiwan. The storm has a minimum central pressure of 985 hPa. Winds are sustained at 65 km/h with gusts to 92 km/h. Waves offshore are measured to be 52 feet. The storm is expected to hit Shanghai in China early on Sunday between Xiapu County in Fujian Province and Wenling City in Zhejiang Province. Ahead of the storm, nearby cities have started evacuating residents. There are also numerous flight and ferry delays.

Many areas of Nunavut have saw a period of abnormally warm temperatures this weekend. Several locations beat daily, monthly, and all-time records.
