Heavy rains cause extensive flooding in the Jamaican resort town of Montego Bay on Tuesday.

Insurance companies are bracing for claims after extensive damage was caused to properties and cars.

The Government has since allocated $20 million towards recovery efforts.

It was the worse storms to hit the region in 30 years.

Some have gone so far as to say that the flooding was a sign from God.

Montego Bay, the capital of Saint James Parish on Jamaica’s north coast, is a major cruise ship port with numerous beach resorts and golf courses outside its commercial core.
