Highway 1 between Chilliwack and Hope has been
closed after a series of mudslides.
There have been as many as five separate slides.
Crews have been working to clear the debris.
RCMP says that three people have been rescued
Between Chilliwack and Hope the road was shut in
Official says that it may be until Saturday
afternoon before the road is fully reopened.
There was also an impact to Canadian National
Railway traffic that runs beside the highway. Trains are moving but there are
