Wood Buffalo National Park Could be in Trouble

UNESCO released a report on Friday warning that Alberta's Wood Buffalo National Park is threatened by energy development, hydro dams and poor management.

They say that factors such as not working with First Nations, lack of studies on water flow, and no improvement on monitoring can be dire for the park.

The report says that if changes aren't made the park will be added to the list of World Heritage Sites in Danger.

Wood Buffalo National Park, located in northeastern Alberta and southern Northwest Territories, is the largest national park in Canada at 44,807 km².
