Woman Gets Caught in Rip Current and Drowns

Sixteen people had to be rescued Saturday from rip currents at Florida's Cocoa Beach.

One woman, from Oklahoma, was pulled out to sea and drowned.

The incident happened at the International Palms Resort.

Lifeguards were able to retrieve some people. First responders were unable to revive the woman after administering CPR. 

A rip current is a specific kind of water current which can occur near beaches with breaking waves.
