Winter Storm Slams Eastern Prairies

Posted by on Tuesday, October 4, 2016

A rain-snow mix event is continuing in Saskatchewan and Manitoba.

A low-pressure system that has been impacting the region for several days now is continuing to bring unsettled weather.
Some areas may see 30 centimeters of snow if not more into Thursday.

The line between rain and snow will likely continue to be from Norway House to Dawson Bay. Along that area, there is a risk of freezing rain or ice pellets.

Winds are quite gusty as well with gusts up to 70 km/h forecast.
