Winter Grips Prairies

Posted by on Friday, November 3, 2017

Winter appears to be in full swing across the Prairies.

As the jet stream dips into the northern United States, temperatures are plunging into the minus teens. In fact in Calgary there was a wind chill on Friday of -24.

There is also heavy snow expected for many areas of Saskatchewan and Southern Manitoba where 10 to 15 cm is expected by Saturday evening.

The long range forecast shows no signs of warming up across the Prairies with temperatures expected to remain in the minus digits over the next 7 days at least.
