Windy Weather Expected in Southwestern Alberta

There are wind warnings in effect for Cardston - Fort Macleod - Magrath and Crowsnest Pass - Pincher Creek - Waterton Lakes National Park.

A tight pressure gradient located along the Rockies will cause strong winds with gusts to 100 km/h possible.

Toward the Lethbridge and Kananaskis region gusts up to 90 km/h are possible.  

Claresholm north along the Foothills to Grande Cache may see gusts to 80 km/h.  

Winds will pick up Tuesday morning and diminish Tuesday evening.
