There are wind, snowfall, and rainfall warnings in effect across British Columbia.

A deep area of low pressure centered over southwestern Alaska is bringing strong wind, heavy snow, and heavy rain to coastal sections and southern sections.

Winds of 80 to 100 km/h to exposed coastal sections of the North and Central Coast and North Vancouver Island. The winds will diminish this morning.

20 to 25 cm is expected before the snow tapers off early this morning from Highway 3 - Paulson Summit to Kootenay Pass today.

There is a rainfall warning in effect for Metro Vancouver with 50 to 60 mm expected.
