Jose has been weakening over the past several hours.

The storm is likely to weaken into a tropical storm before once again becoming a hurricane on Thursday.

By this weekend the storm is expected to take a northward track which will take it off the U.S. East Coast.

From there the storm will steer northeast.

Long range models indicated that the storm will pass just south of the Grand Banks of Newfoundland.

Those living in Atlantic Canada ,especially Newfoundland, should monitor the development of Jose.

While there is no immediate threat, there is the possibility that we can see an impact of some kind next week.
