Highways were shut down and several homes were evacuated in Parker County, Texas due to a wildfire.

Strong winds have helped the fire grow to 2,000-acres.

Just west of Fort Worth, residents were ordered to evacuate on Monday afternoon as several wildfires got ever closer to homes.

The largest grassfire was in the Willow Park area of Parker County where 1,000 acres of land was burned.

Residents near Interstate 20 were under mandatory evacuation orders.
