Wildfire destroys Fort McMurray homes, entire city evacuated

THE ENTIRE CITY IS UNDER A MANDATORY EVACUATION ORDER

Thousands of people have fled their homes in Fort McMurray as a massive wildfire moves into the city.

As of this evening some homes have completely burned to the ground. Some residents are trapped in a gridlock on Highway 63 leading south out of the city.

Beacon Hill and the Centennial Trailer Park have been completely destroyed.

Overnight tonight clear skies with smoke is expected. Low 16. Wind light this evening. Meanwhile tomorrow it will be another sunny day and a high of 30.

Air Quality Health Index is expected to be 10+ tonight which is exceptionally dangerous.
