Widespread Snow Across the Northern Prairies

Posted by Kyle Brookings on Monday, November 5, 2018

An area of low pressure over northern portions of Saskatchewan will bring snow today to northeastern Alberta, northern Saskatchewan, and central-northern Manitoba.

There is the potential 30 cm of snow in the heaviest areas of accumulation.

Snow has come to an end across northeastern Alberta.

15 to 25 cm is expected over northern Saskatchewan. The snow will eventually taper off in Pelican Narrows by Tuesday night.

In Manitoba, 15-20 cm is expected by this evening. In the Flin Flon and The Pas area accumulations near 15 cm are expected by Tuesday morning. In addition, gusty northerly winds will give localized blowing snow in open areas Monday night.

This snow will cause dangerous driving conditions.
