Where in Newfoundland May be covered in snow in Less than 36 Hours

Posted by on Saturday, April 15, 2017

An area of low pressure will push through Newfoundland and Labrador Sunday night and Monday.

The south coast and the Avalon will likely only see rain. Other areas will see snow to start, snow will change over to rain afterward. There is a risk of ice pellets or freezing rain during the changeover. On the Great Northern Peninsula, precipitation will likely remain in the form of snow.

Precipitation begins on the west coast late on Sunday afternoon and will spread to all areas by early Monday morning.
