When to View The Solar Eclipse in Canada

Posted by Kyle Brookings on Monday, August 21, 2017

A solar eclipse will captivate audiences across North America today.

While the solar eclipse will be most stunning in a line from Oregon to South Carolina, in some areas in Canada we will see a part of the eclipse.

Best time to view solar eclipse by city:
Vancouver 10:19 PDT
Edmonton 11:30 MDT
Regina 12:40 CDT
Winnipeg 12:51 CDT
Toronto 14:18 EDT
Quebec City 14:25 EDT
Halifax 15:31 ADT
St. John's 16:01 NDT

Although from Quebec City eastward we will only see a very small part of the solar eclipse.

Of course the weather can play a role also. Check out your forecast!

A solar eclipse is a type of eclipse that occurs when the Moon passes between the Sun and Earth, and when the Moon fully or partially blocks the Sun.
