Whats in the Rio Water?

Posted by on Monday, August 1, 2016

There are growing concerns for the safety of athletes who will be competing in the Rio Summer Olympics. One of the biggest concerns is the water.

Back 2009 when the 2016 Summer Olympics was awarded to Rio they promised to clean up its polluted waters in tme for the Games.

However the games start on August 5 and nothing has been done.

The water is filled with feces and toxins from factories and oil tankers. There are also objects such as television sets, plastic, and even dead bodies of animals in the water.

Olympic swimmers are being advised to keep their mouths closed during competitions.
