What We Know About The Next Atlantic Canada Storm

Posted by Kyle Brookings on Wednesday, March 7, 2018

An intense area of low pressure will move across Atlantic Canada beginning on Thursday.

Snow will spread across the Maritimes early on Thursday. Across Nova Scotia, eastern New Brunswick, and Prince Edward Island snow will mix with, and then change to, rain.

The low will linger through Friday when it will be absorbed by a larger area of low pressure. This low will pass offshore of the Maritimes meaning snow is likely in the second round of precipitation.

This low will arrive in Newfoundland on Saturday morning. It looks like snow will begin over the Burin and Avalon and then change to rain.

Throughout the day snow will spread westward across the province.

It will stall over the Island and fizzle out by Monday.

Please keep in mind that the above numbers are preliminary and will likely change. Keep checking back for updates and join our mailing list.
