What is a Nor'easter

Posted by on Monday, October 24, 2016

A Nor'easter is a storm or wind blowing from the northeast, especially in Atlantic Canada and New England.

These massive cyclonic storms form near the East Coast of the United States.

The term nor'easter refers to the strong and continuous northeasterly winds that blow them ashore.

Most frequent from September to April, they can bring some big snowfall to Atlantic Canada and are also known to whip up strong winds and drop temperatures.
