Wet Wednesday for Newfoundland

Posted by on Thursday, June 9, 2016
Heavy rain was the name of the game across Newfoundland on Wednesday Night.

A low pressure system interacted with the remnants of what was Tropical Storm Colin and delivered a drenching to the Island.

There were also strong winds accompanying the system.

Here are some unofficial rainfall totals:
St. John's North: 42 mm
St. John's South: 42 mm
St. Alban's: 41 mm
Mount Carmel: 25 mm
Lewisporte: 15 mm

Rain will continue throughout today for most areas as well.
