Wet Morning Commute in Eastern NL

Posted by Kyle Brookings on Tuesday, August 8, 2017

An area of low pressure will pass over the Avalon Peninsula of Newfoundland on Wednesday.

As it does so, it will bring much-needed rain to parts of the province.

Along the Avalon Peninsula, to the Burin Peninsula, North to Clarenville and the Bonavista Peninsula, rainfall amounts of 10 to 20 mm are expected.

Rainfall amounts will quickly drop off further west for Central and for the West Coast.

The Great Northern Peninsula will stay largely dry.

Rain will come to an end by the afternoon with gradual clearing skies.

Morning fog will make for some tricky driving.
