An area of high pressure that is building in over Atlantic Canada will break down as a low pushes toward the area on Saturday.

The low arrives in the Maritimes on Saturday and Newfoundland on Saturday night.

While it is too early to get specific on precipitation totals, it looks like a rain event for Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, and eastern New Brunswick.

Most of Newfoundland will see snow, except along the south coast where rain is expected.

We are continuing to monitor this system and will provide updates as we draw nearer.
