Weekend Low for Nova Scotia & Newfoundland

Posted by on Friday, January 15, 2016

A low pressure system over the U.S Southeast will track up the Eastern Seaboard on Saturday and bring rain and snow to Nova Scotia with the potential for an extended period of freezing rain. 5-10 mm is likely for southern Nova Scotia, with 5 to 10 cm for central and northern areas of the province.

The low pressure system will track southeast of Newfoundland and its only impacts are expected to be on the Avalon. About 5 cm at most is expected across the Avalon.

Due to the low pressure system's track a few kilometers may make all the difference in precipitation amounts.
