Weather Summary for Quebec

On Wednesday afternoon, the presence of a warm and humid air mass caused the development of isolated severe thunderstorms over the province, mainly in the Laurentians, Lanaudière and Mauricie areas.  Large hail, rain and strong winds were also reported with this storm.

Meanwhile, high humidex values were recorded over Southern and Western Quebec.

Here is a summary of weather event information as received by Environment Canada. 

At Chertsey, hailstones of about 1 to 2 centimetres of diameter were reported around 2 PM. 

Over Lake Sacacomie, near Saint-Alexis-des-Monts, quarter-size hail was observed around 3:30 PM.
