Wave Takes Out huge Navigational Beacon

A huge wave fueled by a storm took out a 6 meter navigational beacon that was placed along the shore of Lake Michigan.

The Manitowoc's South Pier Light was knocked into the water on Monday morning.

Ann Barbeau snapped some photos of the event as it happened.



In the first image we can see the wave hitting the beacon. The last image shows the wave is gone as is the beacon.
